Accommodation at Pinewood Residential Home
Bedrooms
Bright and airy accommodation is provided across four floors of the home, each designed with comfort and accessibility in mind. All rooms are arranged for single occupancy, ensuring residents have their own private space, while still being comfortably appointed and larger than the average size you might expect. For those who wish to share, there are also a small number of double rooms available, perfect for couples or close friends who would like to be together. Many of the rooms benefit from en-suite facilities, and every room is equipped with an aid-call bell for added peace of mind. To make moving around the home as easy as possible, an eight-passenger lift serves all floors.
"At Pinewood, we actively encourage our residents to bring their own furniture into their room. This allows for a much homelier atmosphere to be created."

All rooms are furnished to a high standard, but the option to personalise a space is always welcomed. By bringing along much-loved furniture, photographs, ornaments, or other familiar items, residents can truly make their room their own. This not only creates a warm and homely atmosphere but also helps new residents settle in more quickly and feel comfortable in their surroundings.
Life at Pinewood is designed to balance privacy with connection. Residents are encouraged to stay engaged with the world around them, whether that means having daily newspapers delivered to their door, keeping in touch with family and friends by telephone, or enjoying favourite programmes on their own television. With this mix of comfort, independence, and personal choice, each resident can enjoy a living space that feels safe, welcoming, and uniquely their own.
Communal Rooms
At Pinewood, our communal spaces are designed to bring people together. Residents can enjoy time in the Communal Lounge, Dining Room, and Day Room, where a warm and welcoming family atmosphere is always encouraged. These spaces are open not only to residents but also to their relatives and friends, helping everyone feel at home.
Our staff work hard to create a relaxed and stress-free environment, where residents can spend time together in comfort. Group activities such as games, music sessions, and social events are often held in the communal areas, helping to build friendships and encourage a lively, supportive community. There are also no restrictions on visiting times, so family and friends are free to join in and share special moments whenever they wish.
For entertainment, residents have access to a CD music system in both the Communal Lounge and Day Room. The Day Room also features a 50-inch television with a DVD player, while the Communal Lounge offers a 32-inch television – perfect for enjoying films, shows, or simply relaxing together.
