Dear Absolutely everyone at Pinewood. The front of this card says it all – there are simply not enough words to express how grateful we are to you all for giving Bertie the best time in his latter years. You were all so kind, affectionate, gentle and understanding – and he flourished. I really believe he lived longer because of the time he spent at Pinewood. As we all know, Bertie loved sitting in the Day Room waving and saying hello – OR RIGHT! to everyone who walked through the door. This, together with his love of bursting into song, totally made his days! We shall miss coming to see him and our regular fish and chip outings, but made easier by the knowledge that you all made him feel so happy and secure.
