This is a full time temporary position working mainly Monday to Friday between 10 am and 6 pm to cover maternity leave for one of our employees.
In order to apply for the post you need to be computer literate and be able to work on your own.
The post mixes the jobs of PA/Receptionist with that of our care assistants.
Our purpose built reception is based in our large day room with fantastic views of Budleigh Salterton and the sea. You will be sitting in our day room together with residents who have also chosen to sit in the day room.
Primarily, your job will focus on doing administration duties for the home. These include answering the phone, assisting the Responsible Individual and Matron at the home with the production of documents/letters, helping with the recruitment of new staff, payments to suppliers and assisting with the payroll at the end of each month.
Additionally, you will be required to oversee that the needs of the residents in the day room are being met. That can range from getting residents a cup of tea or coffee, putting on suitable music/tv programmes for residents, assisting residents to the toilet near the day room and helping staff in the day room to hoist/stand aid residents from chairs to wheelchairs (once you have received suitable manual handling training).
